HEALTH one - clinical management
HEALTH one is an electronic healthcare record and clinical management tool. This software allows for the efficient storage of clinical and other information in a secure electronic format. It has many features such as a powerful data exchange module and database manager that allow for the direct import of laboratory and other medical test results into specific patient records. HEALTH one can be used in a single or multi - practice as well as in large organizations such as clinics and hospitals. The product can be integrated with existing practice/patient management systems.
HEALTH one also includes a powerful prescription manager. The caregiver is able to prescribe drugs and print the prescription from within the patient’s record. All allergies and contra indications are automatically cross checked by the system and will warn the caregiver of any possible dangers relating to the drugs prescribed.
The benefits of computerized clinical patient records over paper based systems have been demonstrated to improve clinical decision-making and provide a higher quality of patient care. They are time-saving, and cost-saving. Medical records need to be accessed by various people, each of whom needs a different piece of information. Paper records may contain all this information, but finding it is not always so easy.
Computerized records allow targeted or extensive automated searches that will retrieve what is required. This is especially relevant in an organization in which management needs information about trends in worker health, Occupational Health test results and other data that can assist in formulating appropriate management decisions.
The system can be run on a stand alone computer or on a network. Due to the flexibility of its design, the system can run as a "thin client" i.e. Microsoft® Terminal Server / Citrix® and can be operated on wireless handheld devices such as PDA's, laptops, tablet PC's etc., HEALTH one is perfectly suited to the sharing of data between numerous remote locations.
HEALTH one was developed in Belgium and Ireland. HEALTH one was appointed Global Partner to the Special Olympics, is used by the Red Cross in France and is used in private hospitals in Belgium. 60% of General Practitioners in Ireland use HEALTH one.
